Take them to the groomer early and often
Miniature schnauzers need to have their coats trimmed often. They do not always like this at first, but they get used to it in time. Sometimes owners wait until their puppies are older to take them to the groomer, but if you wait too long, your puppy will have a harder time adapting to this care. So, start early. As soon as your puppy has their basic vaccinations and your vet says it is safe, make that first grooming appointment. Keep them off furniture

Get down on the floor when you want to play with them or cuddle with them. They can become very shy and nervous if you act negatively towards them, even if you just use a harsh tone of voice. When nervous, they do not respond well to training. So, you really want to avoid negative reinforcement of any type when training your mini schnauzer. Instead, reward good behavior with a tiny treat or verbal praise.
